These vessel is docked in Huntington Harbor and the owner saw our flyer at a Marine Hardware store on the bulletin board.
The boat had a mildew smell problem which is very common when boats remain closed up because they have no ventilation.
This is generally a problem during the winter months, the 3 month period around the holiday. It can be prevented, generally, by opening up the craft at least once a month.
There are other devices, like a boat heater that has the effect of taking moisture out automatically
It’s also possible to put rock salt in containers here and there which can pull the moisture from the air. Never put salt directly on paint or any finished surface!
In any case none of these methods were used so we brought our machines in for an overnight treatment, 24-hours, just to make sure. It was probably done in 12 hours but we like to be thorough.
We were happy to bring the odor-free enjoyment back to boating for these pleasure boaters, they were very happy!
