At Odor Removal Experts of OC & L.A., we are used to working in unique environments, but our latest project took us straight to the heart of Hollywood history. We recently completed a specialized Commercial Odor Removal project at Sony Studios in Culver City. When a high-profile production facility needs to ensure its air quality matches its world-class acoustics, they trust the local professionals to get the job done right.
This particular job involved a sound editing studio that was facing a common but difficult challenge. Because these rooms are designed for perfect sound isolation, they often have next to no natural ventilation. Over time, this lack of airflow can lead to a build-up of stale, unpleasant smells that permeate the workspace. The client found us via a Google search and reached out to see if we could handle a 2,000 square-foot space with limited air exchange.
To tackle this 2,000 square-foot facility, we deployed two of our advanced odor-neutralizing machines. Given the sensitive nature of the equipment inside a sound editing suite, our process had to be precise and effective without leaving any residue. We set up an overnight treatment, allowing our technology to penetrate every corner of the studio while the facility was vacant. As a fun bonus, our team even got a quick glimpse of the Ghostbusters set during our time on the lot!
The results were music to everyone’s ears. By the next morning, the “stuffy” and lingering odors were completely eliminated, replaced by a neutral, fresh environment. Our contact at Sony was very satisfied with the job, noting that the air quality was significantly improved for their editors and staff.
