This was a quite nice 3 bedroom apartment located in Santa Monica, California.
In addition to having an issue with cigarette and cannabis smells, there was no bathroom ventilation fan in the bathroom which contributed to mold and mildew smell issues around the tub.
We advised them to attack the mold around the tub with a spray bottle of Clorox bleach to begin the process of killing the mold, the source of the mildew smell. We told them that they need to scrub it or it comes back as well. Our ozone treatment does kill mold but it’s not practical to use it all the time so ventilation and bleach should be the first lines of defense.
