This was a huge house, over 7,000 square feet, in North Tustin, CA. The issue was that these renters were moving into a home that had been previously inhabited by cigarette smokers.
The renters had been living in it for a few days. The property had not been cleaned or treated the property sufficiently before the renters moved in and left it to the renters to fend for themselves. To make sure that we got the job done right we split the house into upper and lower floors and treated each separately, 3,500 square feet the first day, same amount the next day.
We don’t recommend approaching things this way. It’s much better to clean and deodorize first to prevent the exposure of more surface area to the smelly smoke.
