We removed the bilge and moldy mildew smell from a beautiful 35 foot Sport Fisher that was docked in Long Beach, CA.
This was a complex situation where the original owner died and so the family sold the boat “as is” and it was not washed and had been obviously sitting sitting for a while and so the new owner got a good price but then, after the purchase, closed up for a year which lead to the bilge, musty, old smell that the otherwise nice boat had taken on.
As we explain on this site and to each new customer: our work can’t begin until the source of the odors has been completely eliminated so the bilge was pumped and the interior given a good, in-depth cleaning.
We then set up 2 machines in the boat for our standard 24-hours of treatment. We got it good and the customer is, of course, thrilled to have the bilgey, mildewy smell gone.
